After 5 years of development CompTape started in January 2012 as a private company in Portugal. End of 2013 our first R&D and production line was moved to Enschede, Netherlands.

Begin of 2016 this line was shipped to a new site in Delft, Netherlands adding two operational production lines.

In addition a robotic tape-winding set-up was created to manufacture small pressure vessels.
